Optional landing at Inchcolm Island in the Firth of Forth

Combine your Sightseeing Tour of the Firth of Forth with an optional 1½ hour landing on Inchcolm Island. (You will need to purchase a Landing Ticket from the Forth Belle bar if you want to go ashore).

The Forth Belle will drop you off on the island allowing you time to explore.

The island's former Augustinian Abbey (Historic Scotland), is one of the best-preserved group of monastic buildings in Scotland. Inchcolm is sometimes referred to as the 'Iona of the East' because of its connection with the Christian Missionary Saint Columba.

The island is a haven for marine wildlife - there are opportunities to see a variety of seabirds and you can also find many seals basking on its shoreline rocks.

During the First and Second World Wars, Inchcolm and many of the other islands in the Firth of Forth were fortified to defend against attacks on shipping. You can still find the remains of many pillboxes, lookouts, tunnels and concrete bunkers which are today defended by the island's seabird population!

The Forth Belle will collect you on its return trip to the Island.
