QE2 farewell visit to South Queensferry - 7th October 2008The legendary QE2 liner visited the Firth of Forth on her final UK voyage on 7th October 2008. Her farewell trip took her around the British Isles visiting Cork, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Newcastle. She will sail one final voyage to New York in October before she is finally retired to Dubai to become a floating hotel there. In the last forty years she has sailed more than 5.5 million nautical miles and carried almost 2.1 million passengers. |
